The Aftermath Of Homecoming

You'll be feeling this one for a while.

Homecoming isn't just another day on campus, nor is it one you will easily forget. Expect the stages of grief in your post-homecoming progression, only littered with regrets, good memories and glitter.

1 Day After

You wake up and watch all of the Snapchat stories your friends took the day before.

I hereby vow never to drink again.

3 Days After

You finally get around to cleaning and picking up the mountains of shot glasses and solo cups lying around your house.

Why do you even own 4,000 shot glasses? Did you break out a new one for every shot?

4 Days After

You finally begin to come to terms with the fact that homecoming is actually over.

Everything is going to be okay someday.

5 Days After

You realize that you've been so focused on homecoming that Halloween is only a few days away and you're not ready at all.

Wait, I have to have a costume bytonight?

1 Week After

You frantically check your grades to see if you can still pass your classes even though you neglected all of your responsibilities for an entire week.

Shouldn't your professors know to not schedule midterms for the three weeks on either side of homecoming?

2 Weeks After

You find a gem of a photo you had no idea you saved in that weird "Snapchat memories" archive.

Do you dare look at who you sent that to?

3 Weeks After

You finally tell that boy you gave your number to at the bar that you're not interested after he's texted you everyday for three weeks.

You would think he'd get the hint by now.

6 Months After

You find your favorite sweatshirt that got shoved behind your couch.

You actually remembered to grab that off of the bleachers at the game and bring it home? You really thought it was lost forever.

3 Years After

You're sitting at your desk at your mundane big-person job and see your pictures on Timehop.

What happened to the glory days? When did you become so ancient?

50 Years After

You're still finding glitter in your hair and laundry.

Thanks Ke$ha.

60 Years After

You come back to campus for the game.

Because there's nothing like coming home.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
