There are so many skincare products out there these days that it can become overwhelming to choose what to buy. However, I am here to make it easier for you by revealing some of my recent favorites. Keep in mind that what works for me might not work for you. Always do research online beforehand, and stay positive. Have fun and good luck!

1. Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser- KraveBeauty

At first, I was a little skeptical about this face wash because I had never bought one online before and was always used to purchasing a CeraVe or Cetaphil one from the drugstore. But the moment I rubbed the Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser by Krave Beauty on my face, I knew I would have to repurchase it. It smells great, leaves my skin feeling very soft, and makes it look more refreshed. I can't wait to try their other products, especially The Beet Shield with SPF 50+ and the Kale-Lalu-yAHA AHA exfoliator.

2. Lightning Wand- Hero Cosmetics

Like countless people, I'm not too fond of post-acne marks. They take a very long time to get rid of and are quite bothersome. Thankfully, Hero Cosmetics did us all a favor by creating their Lightning Wand. It contains Niacinamide, Glycolic Acid, Vitamin C, and lots of other ingredients that fade dark spots. After a couple of weeks, I already notice a difference in my skin; bye-bye, stubborn acne marks.

3. Daily Moisturizing Lotion- CeraVe

A few nights ago, my face started to burn and turn red after completing my nighttime routine consisting of a cleanser, serums, and moisturizer. I didn't know what went wrong because I had been using the same products for months. After doing some research, I realized that I was applying too many active ingredients, which caused me to have an unpleasant reaction, especially with the weather turning colder. My solution was to find a simpler moisturizer that would still hydrate my face. Therefore, the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion is a new favorite of mine because it doesn't irritate my skin, and a little goes a long way.

4. Healing Ointment- Aquaphor

In my opinion, Aquaphor's Healing Ointment is seriously underrated. I love using it when I've reached the end of my nightly skincare routine because it locks in the rest of my products and forms a water-protective barrier that retains moisture. Not many people talk about healing ointment enough, and it saddens me because it's possible that you already have it in a cabinet somewhere. It is now an excellent time to buy products that fight against dry and cracked skin, like this one!

5. Acne Pimple Master Patches- COSRX

Last but certainly not least, these are a must after having breakouts. My aunt introduced me to the COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patches a few months ago, and I have been using them ever since. If you get grossed out easily, then try to skip the next sentence. It is so satisfying to tear off a patch on a pimple after wearing it overnight and looking at the pus that comes out; I said what I said.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
