If it was documented it would look a little bit like this.

An Accurate Representation Of Going Home For The Weekend

Every once in awhile we get the opportunity to go home and spend the weekend away from the college scene. When going home, there are always things that you are bound to do before the weekend is over and you have to make the drive back. Here are some things that happen when you're home.

1. First you come home just to go and cuddle with your dog and/or cat.

Yeah I mean it is great to see your family, but the most important members of your family are those with four legs that always love you no matter what. You need to make up for lost time with your pet!

2. Then it is time to sleep the day and night away.

The only thing that is better than your pet, is sleeping in your own bed! You can always try to believe that your bed up at school is comfy but nothing can compare to you bed at home!

3. The only times you will get up during the day is when you are hungry or want to watch Netflix in your bed.

Getting up from your bed is hard work when you are catching up on much needed sleep. So you only should get up for emergencies. These emergencies are when you are hungry or when you forget that you need to continue watching the show you never finished!

4. Once you have caught up on sleep, you try to convince your parents to take you out shopping for food and clothes.

One of the best things about being home is that you don't have to spend your own money. You take this very seriously and convince your parents that you need food back up at school or need something that is vital up at school! Coming home to shop is the best time to shop.

5. You take a long drive through town.

Is there anything better than strolling down memory lane while having the music blasting!

6. You force your parents to watch the show you are currently binge watching on Netflix.

Because there is nothing better than forcing your parents to watch a show you like!

7. You go and visit your friends who are are also home and it is like you have never left!

Every time you come home you somehow make your way to a friends house in order to catch up. And sometimes catching up takes all night!

8. You make sure you huge bag of laundry is done by anyone but you.

You saved all your laundry just for someone in your family to do for you.

9. You quickly get done all the homework you forgot to do.

It is Sunday morning and you just realized that you have a bunch of homework due at midnight so you rush and get it done as quick as possible before you go back to school.

10. You are going to be upset to leave, but know that soon you will be reunited with you family and most importantly your bed.

It is not goodbye, but instead see you soon! Before you know it you will be back to the same routine for another weekend.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
