Poetry On Odyssey: Him Vs Her

A short message about two people and how they feel towards one another, all while keeping it inside, all to themselves

Poetry On Odyssey: Him Vs Her

She sees him every day

In school, outside, always having a good day

She's met him one too many times

Says he's like the other guys

Until one day on a drive home

She sees him calling on her phone

She picks up and says what's wrong

They're then together talking things through

Both crying, wishing it weren't true

Seeing him always made her day

His smile

His laugh

It just wasn't the same

She only wished for one more night

To have dinner, see a movie with the one she deemed right

He was her chosen one

No one else compared

The way she looked at him was only but a stare

The week ended near

Something had to be done

One more time with him, a date perhaps

Only to know how he would react

Movies and dinner was the only way

In her heart, he would always stay

Today and tomorrow when it should come

Never let me forget all we've done

His smile, his laugh, the whole nine yards

He was one to bring help

A guy to always be a friend

I can only hope it will never end

He is more than most

Always being his best

But for now, I can only rest

Until I have the courage to say

Will you be my one to stay.

He saw her every day

She reminded him of spring

She was so sweet, sweet as can be

She had some friends

Though I couldn't name them

I knew she wouldn't see them again

That's where I cam in

I saw her every day

I didn't have the courage to say what I needed to say

She meant so much

She had all I could ask for

In a split second, it was all gone

Rivers of tears that hit the floor

She and I were no more

Reality hit us so quick

Almost had to call it quits

I knew this isn't what she wanted

To argue

To fight

To be broken-hearted

She was right, as she always is

To build back up like it used to be

Though anger may grow strong

We learned to forgive and put past our wrongs

So now I see her every day

Her smile is from ear to ear

I am glad to have her back again this year

Though times may be tough for us two

I will always appreciate you

Although I don't have the courage to say what I must

We both know the meaning of trust

To live

To be beyond

You're my best friend

Don't get me wrong

So now as I will see you again

Every day I stray further away

From what I should tell

Your ears would like it well

That maybe someday we could be

More than we think

When the time comes

I will let you know

But as for now,

I must let go

Carry on with your day

Until we have the courage

to say what we must say

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
