As a wise professor, Paul Mitchell, once said, “Shy + quiet = unemployed.” In other words, speak up, or else you’re not making it in this industry.
1. We don’t math.
We do the basics, and that is it. Once you start throwing letters and stuff that doesn’t look like this: +, -, *, /; we aren’t doing it.
2. People constantly being like, "You’re a journalism major, help me write this for me."
It isn’t all about writing, but give me your laptop and I’ll start a sentence for you.
3. Being told that it’s a “dead” career.
Like earlier, it’s not all just about writing, theres a lot more apart of it.
4. When people cancel on you last second for an article.
Almost every article ever trying to write.
5. Everyone thinks they can do your job.
It's a liberal arts degree.
6. In other words you fall under the “starving artist” category.
7. Not being taking as seriously as other majors.
Yet we're the ones that report what you did.
8. Not all of us are social butterflies
9. Making deadline…
Enough said.
Besides all of this though, journalism students have got it pretty well.
