Nine Signs You're Young And Reckless

Summertime is all about letting go and being carefree. With no school or homework, there is nothing stopping you from having fun and doing whatever you want! Hanging out with friends is one of the most fun things to do. If you're like I am, your friends often refer to you as "crazy" or "reckless." Maybe its just because we know how to have a good time!

Here are nine signs you might be the reckless one of your friend group.

1. Your friends are afraid to drive with you.

Whether you're texting and driving, fiddling with the AC or changing the radio station, you're definitely distracted from the most important task — operating a moving vehicle. Your friends realize this and brace themselves for the bumpy ride ahead.

2. You often bump into people or things while text-walking.

Sometimes the task of walking from place to place can be boring for you, so you reach for your phone and start texting. You get so immersed in conversation that you forget to pay attention to your surroundings and accidentally fall into a random manhole in the middle of the street. It happens to the best of us!

3. You notice random bruises on your body that you don't remember getting.

Maybe they're from text-walking? Or maybe from that time you attempted parkour ...

4. You drop your phone at least once a day.

And its never intentional like Tay. It just slips out of your hands!

5. You're not afraid to take risks.

Roller coasters? No sweat. Cliff jumping? Sign me up! You only live once so you gotta have fun!

6. You're not afraid to say whats on your mind.

Most of the time you act before you think, not think before you act. This leaves people feeling offended, but hey, isn't honesty the best policy?

7. You're always the last one to leave a party.

The party has been over for a while, but as long as there's music, you'll be dancing! Who's up for an after party?

8. You are quick to jump into new relationships.

Whether its a new friendship or romantic relationship, meeting new people is exciting! You will be friends with anyone, even if they potentially hurt you later.

9. You chose to "live in the moment."

Life is short! There is no time to dwell on the past or the future. Make the most of today!

Living recklessly can be fun, but the most important thing is having fun while being safe. Enjoy living life to the fullest and always remember to look both ways!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
