9 Signs You Peaked In High School

College is supposed to be the best four years of our lives, right? Living on your own without parental supervision, doing whatever you want when you want, the parties, the opposite sex, and more parties. But what happens when you lived it up in high school and find yourself being an -- dare I say it -- adult before you even reach 21. It's time to strap on your big-boy pants and come to terms with the fact that you peaked in high school.

1. All your stories date back to high school.

"This one time in high school" is how the majority of your stories start off. Because, let's be real, your wild-child high school self partied their booty off and did some epic, crazy things in the process.

2. You find yourself constantly trying to channel your badass high school self.

In social, work and everyday situations. Winging it is much harder than it looks nowadays.

3. The endless social circle.

You knew everyone and everyone knew you in high school. Now you are lost in a sea of unknown faces at classes and parties and just aren't having it.

4. Your Facebook page is resembling your mother's more and more each day.

Between the lack of wild party pictures and excess of funny cat videos, it is hard for your Facebook friends to differentiate if you or your mother posted the grumpy cat meme when scrolling through their feed.

5. Whenever someone asks if you could be one age forever, what would it be?

While most people say 21 because it is the legal age to drink, my ideal age would be 17. I would kill to be 17 forever. Because, let's be real, my liver was in its prime back then.

6. "WWHSMD?"

Whenever you are in a predicament, you ask yourself "What would high school me do?" Because high school you always had the answers.

7. "Sweatpants, hair tied, chilling with no makeup on" is now the definition of you life.

You used to carefully plan out your outfit, sometimes even channeling your inner Elle Woods and rocking heels to class. Now, you opt for rotting in the same hoodie days at a time. At least Drake approves.

8. You try to justify your new found lameness.

By saying how hard you went in high school. Yeah you may have drunk a lot, slept little, and done many reckless activities, but your college friends are not having it The amount of lame your aura is projecting is overwhelming.

9. You Facebook-stalk your high school self regularly and want to cry.

The pictures. The friends. The memories. Every post is a reminder of the adventurous person you once were.

Even though you may think your heyday has come and gone, have no fear! If you are still an underclassmen and have not turned 21 yet, there is still tons of fun to be had. And even if 21 has come and gone, there is still a lifetime of memories to be made, friends to make, and shots to take.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
