As heartbreaking as it is that summer break has come to an end, there is no chance of us missing stepping outside and feeling like we are on the sun. Once again, hope has come and fall is approaching. Here's a few things to look forward to in the next few weeks.
1.) Cooler TemperaturesWith the exception of the south, the weather is a whole lot cooler. Temperatures around 65-75 degrees call for picnics, sitting on front porches, or just being outside at all times without sweating through your clothes.
2.) Leaves. Trees. SO MUCH COLOR!
Warm autumn colors like red, orange, and yellow fill every tree you pass, and you can't help to take snapchats of every single one. Not to mention the feeling of crunching leaves under your feet.
3.) Bath and Body Works
If you don't step into Bath and Body Works during the fall, what are you doing with your life? This is the only time you can stock up on your favorite scents like Leaves, Flannel, and all the wonderful Pumpkin scents.
4.) Warm Drinks
The feeling you get when you take a sip from a warm drink on a colder day. Drink as many Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Apple Ciders, and Caramel Macchiatos as you can before they return to the shelf until next fall.
5.) Football
It unites those who love the same team, and creates tension between that one friend who always cheers for your rival. In the meantime, there's nothing like wearing your teams colors and screaming at your tv (or from the stands) all for the joy of the game.
6.) Blankets
We're finally able to pile up and snuggle with every soft blanket we have. There's a high chance that I'll be adding more blankets to my collection this year.
7.) Sweatshirts and sweaters
The portable blanket. I mean... how great is that??
8.) Pumpkins consume your life.
Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin patches. Pumpkin carving. Pumpkin coffee. Pumpkin seeds. Pumpkin bread. Pumpkin decorations. Pumpkin EVERYTHING.
9.) October
Basically the perfect month to define fall. The weather is just right. Some days you get to wear a cozy sweater. Other days you can wear shorts. The smell of fallen leaves fill the air. And the month ends with free candy. 31 days just isn't enough.
These are only a few of the many reasons why fall is something to look forward to. Even if you live in the south where the weather is unpredictable, cooler (not cold) days are coming. So get ready to gather all your friends, blankets, pumpkins and candles because fall is just around the corner!
