If you have unfortunately been a part of the horrible “spring” weather that has been affecting the greater New England area, East Coast, and basically the entire country besides the South and California--I am sure you can relate. These past few weeks have been the coldest spring days I have ever experienced. With that in mind, I decided to create an epic list of nine movies to watch when the weather is god awful. These are in no particular order, and are must-sees--regardless of the weather outside. Happy watching!
1. "The Breakfast Club"
This is probably the epitome of a classic movie. There are countless amazing scenes--and, for those of you who have not seen this, I won't spoil it for you but please watch.
2. "Grease"
Okay this is my favorite movie ever, and all of my friends know it. When the rain is pouring down outside, you can always count on John Travolta and Olivia Newton John to lift your spirits with their musical greatness--oh and their looks.
3. "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off"
Another fabulous classic. You can always rely on this movie to give you a laugh and even give you some ideas for the next time you might want to skip class.
4. "Breakfast at Tiffany’s"
Audrey Hepburn. Enough Said. If you haven't seen this movie--grab a croissant and a coffee, google “watch Breakfast at Tiffany’s online free” and sit back to let the magic begin.
5. "10 Things I Hate About You"
The first time I ever watched this movie, I hoped my high school experience would have a Heath Ledger-esque feel (that did not happen, but there is still hope). Highly recommend this movie when it's pouring and you’re in the mood to cuddle with your sister/best friend.
6. "Legally Blonde"
First of all, let us take a moment to mourn Bruiser. RIP little pooch, you will be missed. Elle Woods and her story of becoming a Harvard Law student is inspiring, overcoming stereotypes and whatnot. Her blonde status can get you out of the weather dumps.
7. "The Devil Wears Prada"
Every girl’s dream job is to work for a high end fashion magazine, being a part of photoshoots, etc--such goals. Anne Hathaway in this role is awesome, and it for sure will put a smile on your face.
8. "She's The Man"
The most quotable comedy in history. Such as.. “I’m allergic to the sun.” or “Do you like--cheese? 'Why yes I do, my favorite’s gouda!'” If you need a laugh, especially when it’s raining--watch.
9. "The Lucky One"
Best for last--Zac Efron. This movie really touches the soul, in both good and bad ways. Emotional and real, Zac and Taylor Schilling (OITNB star) portray this Sparks novel in a beautiful way.
Now that I have given you the list, go watch the ones you have never seen, then watch your favorites when the upcoming bad weather days hit. May the use of google searching be with you.
