9 Food Habits That Seem Weird But Are Actually Awesome

Personally, I don't think pineapples belong anywhere near pizza, and just for the record neither does Gordon Ramsay.

I'm not gonna lie, some of these are weird, like really weird. Some I haven't done since I was a kid, and some I've just recently discovered.

It's like the saying goes though, it all ends up in the same place.

1. Ketchup on Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

I used to do this as a kid, and I know it sounds gross, but c'mon ketchup goes on just about everything.

2. Applesauce on Pizza

You guys probably think I'm crazy, but my sister, my mom, and I all did this when I was younger. You don't know what youre missing.

3. Carrots in Lasagna

My mom found a recipe a few years ago that called for carrots in lasagna. Now, at first I was not on board at all, however, now I'm in love with vegetables in my

4. Ketchup on Mac n Cheese

Again, ketchup is awesome on so many things. Just try it, if you like ketchup that is.

5. Fries dipped in Barbecue Sauce

Why even bother with anything but barbecue sauce at a barbecue joint? Am I right?!

6. French Fries dipped in Milkshakes

This one’s an oldie but a goodie that I know more people than just myself enjoy, but if you really think about it, its super weird. Dipping potatoes in dairy? Who thought that would be a good idea? Just trying to give credit where credit is due.

7. Sour Cream on Eggs

Google scrambled egg recipes and you’ll see where I’m coming from with this one. I even like to add salsa and sour cream to my eggs in the morning—a more sophisticated and refined version ketchup on eggs.

8. Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwiches

I saw a video about this on facebook the other day and I'm really considering trying it. I love pickles and peanut butter has been growing on me lately. Could be a diamond in the rough.

9. Pineapple on Pizza

Personally, I don't think pineapples belong anywhere near pizza, and just for the record neither does Gordon Ramsay. But I thought I'd be courteous and include it for those of you crazy people who do enjoy Hawaiian Pizza.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
