9 Fall Activities For The Basic Girl In You

Fall is here, so it's time to do your favorite fall things! Get in touch with your inner basic girl vibes with these 9 fall activities:

1. Apple picking

Drive to your nearest orchard and spend a few hours picking apples and having fun with friends!

2. Pumpkin carving

Get messy! Go pick yourself a big ol' pumpkin and carve that baby to pieces! Or, if you're a less messy, more artsy type, paint it!

3. Corn maze

Go with your friends! This is one of many fun fall photo opportunities! If for nothing else, do it for the 'gram!

4. Drink a Pumpkin Spice Latte

If you haven't gotten yourself one already, what are you waiting for? Shamelessly order yourself a PSL and drink that basic fall drink with pride, boo!

5. Make s'mores

Whether it's in your backyard or on your stove-top with some friends at home, making s'mores is a fun bonding experience for you and your friends! Plus, who doesn't love s'mores?

6. Halloween parties

Either go to one or host one! Halloween is only a few weeks away, people! So get hype and start planning your costumes if you haven't already!!

7. Have a fall picnic

Grab a blanket and a basket, and have yourself a picnic where you and some friends can sit and watch the beautiful colored leaves fall.

8. Bake

Now that pumpkin is in season, a PSL isn't the only way to partake in this delicious fall fruit! (Yes, everyone, pumpkin is a fruit, I fact-checked that, don't come at me!) Bake a pumpkin pie, cupcakes, muffins, or whatever your heart desires! Or bake an apple pie with those apples you picked!

9. Friendsgiving

Celebrate Thanksgiving with all of your friends! Have a holiday potluck dinner at someone's house and spend the day together, sharing what you're all thankful for and enjoying each others' company.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.

A bad day at the lake is still better than a good day not at the lake.

You know the best beaches and coves to go to.
