Being Mexican is super fun. No, seriously, it's a blast. Whether we're lounging around, celebrating, relaxing, laughing, or panicking, being Mexican definitely is a completely unique experience. While there are many things I enjoy most about my heritage, here are a few random things that I think make being Mexican the best.

1. Tajin

This life-changing seasoning is a not only a Mexican treasure, it's a way of life. Sprinkle this on anything you like and be ready for the epitome of flavor and sabrosura.

2. Duros

Otherwise referred to as Duritos or Chicharrones de Harina, these delicious fried snacks will definitely make your mouth water. Add some lemon or chamoy to make it a party.

3. Decorated Bobble-Head Turtles

This might be super random but seeing these little turtles takes me back to my childhood, going on vacation to Mexico and seeing these being sold by vendors. Any Mexican person can tell you that they've definitely seen these sometime in their life before, and we can't help but smile at the memories they bring.

4. Chespirito

Roberto Gómez Bolaños, AKA Chespirito, is not only a Mexican legend but a global phenomenon. Regarded as the most important Spanish-speaking humorist of all time, this man is responsible for creating countless characters that are engrained into a Mexican person's memory forever.

5. Raspados

Evolved out of the simple snow cone, these delectable drinks are essential to Mexico. Whether you prefer yours sweet or sour or spicy, or a mix in between, there's no denying that raspados equal life.

6. Mexican Coca-Cola

This phenomenon can be explained but never fully understood without tasting the sweet nectar housed in these beautiful glass bottles. Do yourself a favor, do humanity a favor, by savoring in the flavor of Mexican Coca-Cola. Prepare to experience life as it was meant to be.

7. Birthday Cake Face

Cake frosting in one's nostrils becomes a birthday tradition if you're Mexican. We all know it's coming, yet we somehow are always caught off-guard and get our faces smashed into a small portion of the birthday cake. After the face smash ensues, we simply split off the demolished area of the cake and eat up!

8. San Marcos Cobijas

We've all been protected from the cold by these amazingly warm blankets. We've become attached to our specific cobijas and, if it were publicly acceptable, would love to carry them around all day long. If you've never experienced this sensation before, head out and buy one now, preferably one with a striking wolf or fierce tiger on it.

9. Elotes

It might look weird, but this Mexican version of corn-on-the-cob is one of the most sensational things you could taste. Sure, eating it is super messy, but it pays off in the end. You'll love elotes so much, I can guarantee you'll never say "Get that corn out of my face!"

Being Mexican comes with these and many more amazing benefits. Outside of the outstanding food, being Mexican means embracing a beautiful culture and history. We love it for everything it represents in our lives and all of the traditions we have been part of because of it. Being Mexican means livin' the vida loca, and loving it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
