Not one theatre major is exactly the same! While in the drama department, I see daily examples of these 8 types of theatre majors and thought I would share them with you! If you are ever in your drama department, keep an eye out to see if you can find the same types!

1. The Serious Actor

The serious actor is the theatre major that is very much dedicated to their craft. They can be seen reciting monologs/scenes in the hallways and are usually the first person to volunteer in acting class.

2. The Musical Theatre Nerd

The musical theatre nerd is the major that busts out into song and dance at random (and sometimes inappropriate) times.

3. The Diva

The diva is the one who will be there to audition for every show and demand a leading role, regardless if someone else is better. They want everyone to know their name and will beg for attention on stage. They think they’re the best, but they’re sadly mistaken.

4. The Paper Major

The paper major is the person that is classified as a theatre major, but never shows up to anything or helps anyone in the department. They are so discreet that when finally show up to one audition, nobody knows who they are.

5. The One Who Thinks They Can Do It All (but really can’t)

This is the know-it-all. They think they have mastered every skill and can do anything in the department, but everyone knows they can’t.

6. The Technical Nerd

The technical nerd is always helping in the scene/costume shop or backstage. They are very skilled using a sewing machine and/or power tools and can pretty much fix anything.

7. The Ambitious

The ambitious is always searching for a new project. They’re one of the most dedicated of the majors and will always be working hard and searching out new opportunities. They work better under pressure and want to work on as many projects as they can handle at one time.

8. The Overdramatic Actor

The overdramatic actor believes that everything, even walking down the hallway to class, must be done in the most dramatic way possible. Many people tire of their overdramatic attitude and they tend to make a lot of things about themselves.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
