8 Types Of Professors You Will Have In College
how to get away with murder

I am now currently in my second semester of sophomore year, and over the past four semesters, I have had my fair share of "profs". Some I've enjoyed, while others I could have lived without ever encountering. Below are 8 types of professors that everyone will have in college.

1. Mr. Feeny

This professor will be hard on you, but that's only because they expect a lot from you. You can ask him/her about anything, regardless of the subject they teach, and they will have an answer. They may give you a few bad grades here and there, but at the end of the day they will always be there for you and their office door is always open.

2. Annalise Keating

This professor will give you a limited back story about themselves, as they like to keep things strictly professional, and on a student-teacher basis, rather than a friendly basis. Their mysterious essence will always keep you wondering what goes on with them when they leave the classroom.

3. Dewey Finn

Dewey is that professor that teaches your class once when your regular prof is sick, and he's so good that you wish you could have him for the entire semester.

4. Mr. Belding

He/She tries their best to be tough and strict, but when push comes to shove, you can get almost anything by them.

5. Ms. Frizzle

This is the type of professor who feels that the best learning is done outside of the classroom. They hold class outside when the weather is nice, and they might even take you on a field trip here and there.

6. Mr. Simpson

He's the prof whose child attends the same school in which he teaches, and everyone always wonders how much they save on tuition and try to get the dirt on how they act outside of the classroom.

7. Mrs. Hayfer

She's that professor you have that has her favorites, and she's not afraid to let that be known. If you're on her good side you should be fine, but don't even think about passing if she doesn't like you.

8. Ms. Briggs

Ms. Briggs is that professor that we don't want to know anything more about, but for some reason, we always see them off campus either at the gym, the bar, etc.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
