It's hard to believe that Elle Woods first showed her crappy law school boyfriend what's up almost 15 years ago this year. She may have been talking about Harvard Law, but Elle's overly rhinestoned agenda has surely saved all of us from a least one huge college mistake. Whether it be the douche-y frat boyfriend, the fake friends, or the costume parties, she pretty much set the gold standard for how to own college while carrying maintaining a killer wardrobe and pore less skin. It may be a blast from the past, but Legally Blonde could be one of those rom-coms that sticks with us for life (God help us all) or at least, college. Proving that point, here are the 8 most relevant college moments I think we've all faced at one time or another that Elle Woods totally owned back in 2001.
1. Be confident in your major, because no matter what, you can always be successful. It's true that today, its more about having a degree rather than your specific major.
2. Some (basically, all) guys are completely stupid and sometimes, you're just gonna have to deal.
3. Your friends are the most supportive people you will ever have.
4. Themed parties are the best way to show off your originality. But if someone questions that originality, it is the best way to assert your new found college self-confidence.
5. The right guy might roll around, so don't overlook him for the hotter guy with the sucky personality.
6. Professors can be your biggest fans, or complete assholes.
7. Have faith in other people, but most importantly, always have faith in yourself.
8. Finally, Pink goes with everything.
