8 Awful Things I Would Rather Do Than Have Another 8 A.M. Class

8 a.m. classes are the actual worse. Avoid them at all costs.

Last semester I had one 8 a.m. class and it was an awful experience. I not only missed the class twice due to oversleeping (lol, sorry mom), but I showed up late to every single class. After that, I vowed to never take another 8 a.m. class and decided I would rather take a 7 p.m. class than an 8 a.m. class. So, here are 8 awful things I would rather do than take another 8 a.m. class...

1. Spend an entire day with my ex

Even though my ex absolutely hates me and has me blocked on everything (don't worry, the feelings are mutual), I still would rather spend an entire day with him than have an 8 a.m.

2. Run a marathon

I get tired after running for 2 minutes so running 26.2 miles would be an interesting experience, but at least better than running to an 8 a.m. class!!

3. Delete my Netflix account

This would probably force me to be productive and not lay in bed all day. But definitely not productive enough to endure an 8 a.m. class.

4. Get a flip phone

Hey, at least I could do that cool flipping motion! Maybe I will curb my serious phone addiction while I am at it.

5. Not be allowed to pet every single dog I see

Dogs are literally the highlight of my day, but I waste a lot of time and tend to be late to things if I see a dog. So, at least I will be more on time!

6. Dye my hair blue

Whatever, I will just say I went for a "cool tones" look.

7. Only take cold showers

At least cold showers are better for your hair. And I would probably take faster showers which would save water (yay for the environment!)

8. Only eat vegetables

If you know me I literally never eat vegetables so this would be pure torture, but not as bad as getting up for that 8 a.m.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
