8 Things To Do Since College Football Is Over

If you go to a school that heavily revolves around football, you know that college football is a lifestyle. Your life during the fall semester revolves around who you're playing that week, what your chances are, who's injured, and where you're watching the game. The football team dominated everyone's social life on Saturday's, but now that the season is over, you seem to have to find a way to fill that empty void. While these alternatives can't beat watching a game with all your friends, they can at least keep you busy until next season.

1. Watch Pro Football.

Even though there's no marching bands, football is still football. However, this option doesn't last as long as the others because the professional season only has two more months.

2. Basketball season.

Just because football season is over doesn't mean the school spirit stops. Basketball can keep you occupied, up until March at least.

3. Actually sleep in on a Saturday.

When the football game starts at 3 p.m., you usually are awake and getting ready before 11. Now at least you can sleep in since you don't have to ever worry about missing kick off.

4. Rewatch highlights.

In case you want to relive the glory moments. Or, if Showtime made a TV series about your team, you could rewatch all those episodes.

5. Get ready for the NFL Draft.

Warning: it's bittersweet to watch your favorite players move on without you. But of course it's exciting to see where they might end up.

6. Stock up for next season.

Everyone can use more fan apparel, especially those fans who live in colder states. You can start stocking up for actual winter apparel for next season.

7. Watch the hype videos.

They won't come out until next summer, but they'll pump you up for next season. Or, if you're really bored, just make one yourself.

8. Study.

Just kidding.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
