Valentine's Day is around the corner and if you're anything like me then you absolutely HATE this so called sad excuse for a holiday and will do anything to boycott it. Well... fear no more, it's time to get all of your gals together and celebrate GALentine's Day! Here are a few things to do if you want to get all of your girlfriends together and have a fun-filled day.

1. Pizza & Chick Flicks (and all the other junk foods in the world).

Nothing better than watching stupid, cheesy chick flicks and eating all of the worst (but best) foods in the world.

2. Spa day!

Pamper yo self, girlfriend. Today is the day where you should do something to make yourself happy (actually you should do that every day) but you see my point. Get your nails done, slap on a face mask, and get a massage. It's time.

3. Day trip to nowhere.

Don't even worry about where you're going, just go. Listen to loud music and have the time of your life wherever you end up.

4. Dance party?

"No body's perfect, I gotta work it!!!"

5. Get super dressed up and go out to a nice dinner with the gals.

I mean this may cost a little bit of money, but that's okay. Who doesn't want to eat fancy food with all of their besties?

6. Do a secret Valentine!

Ever heard of Secret Santa? Same thing. Get a bunch of your girls together, draw names, and go out and buy each other presents! It doesn't have to be something fancy, just something cute and simple to make each other's day!

7. Go shopping!

A little retail therapy didn't ever hurt anyone.

8. Game night!

Board games always make people laugh and have a good time. You can never go wrong with getting a group of girls together to just sit around and play games.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
