Summer is almost coming to an end and as you wait for school to start, happily or unhappily, it's important to make this summer the most enjoyable one you have yet. You may have had the best summer yet or a summer that you wish you could erase from you life; either way, let's top this year's summer off with 8 activities that may be that cherry on top of the last two months!

When you look back years from now, it's usually the starting and the ends that make an experience memorable. If this summer started out with you sitting in your room watching YouTube while your friends were surfing in Hawaii, use the few days you have left, and make them as excitable as possible.

Connect with old friends.

If you spent your entire summer with Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter it's time to move on and meet read human beings with a heart and soul. Meeting friends or even just laking to them on the phone makes one really happy. I personally couldn't meet a lot of my friends over the summer but when I FaceTimed my friend after having the most day possible, it lifted my spirits and made me more lively and cheerful for the rest of the day.

If you are having those funky days where you are restless, bored or irritated, hit up a friend, even if you have to call them for a couple of minutes. Trust me when I say you will feel better for the rest of the day.

Learn Morse Code.

Do what Jim and Pam did

One fine day after rewatching "The Office", Jim and Pam inspired me to learn Morse Code. I haven't really progressed, but it's a very different experience and one that most don't get to learn. Hey! You never know when you need to send a SOS signal out or just talk to your friend about someone right in front of them.

Watch - or rewatch - TV shows.

I know I said connect with real people but let's make an exception here. "The Office" is going to be taken off of Netflix soon, so this is the best opportunity to rewatch some episodes (or the whole series). If you haven't watched "The Office", I highly recommend watching it. It's one of the best the best show you can watch.

On a side note, if you have another TV show that you love, rewatch that, and don't wait for school to begin to start new shows. That would be a catastrophe.

Clean your room.

By cleaning you room, I mean deep clean. Yes, I am talking to you, you who has been stashing clothes under the bed and piling them on chairs that you literally have nowhere to set because even the bed is full of them. Make a list of all potential areas in your room that need to be decluttered, and get cracking. You may just find that homework from two years ago that you thought your dog ate.

Organize your bag.

Remember the bag you took to school last year. Remember how nicely your treated it at first but as the months wore out so did that bag. Now take it out of its hiding place, empty it; hopefully you don't have to throw it as nuclear waste and just trash some old homework- oh and what's that? that sandwich your mom packed for you for the last day of school. Now, it's old and moldy throw it before the odor kills you.

On a more serious, knowing what school supplies to pack and how to sort your notes will help you be on top of your classes and make you prepared for each of them, eliminating the need the "I don't know where my homework is, but I did it" excuse.

Strategize and make a plan.

Organizing your bag is the first step. Next, list down how you are going to change your study habits from last year; the mistakes you made last year should not be repeated to ensure success. Get an agenda or a bullet journal to list down the goals you want to achieve through the school year and set a date you want to accomplish them by. Not setting goals with end dates will make you procrastinate, and you may never finish your tasks.

Savor the memories.

After you are done making the memories, it's also important to savor those. As each summer passes by, we are reminded of us getting older (okay that sounded depressing). It does make way fro pensive thoughts, but try to get over them and look at the positive side. Look at all the fun you had with your family and friends. Even if you just sat at home, think of the time you spent with your parents and your sibling. Make a scrapbook or just jot down your thoughts about the past two months.

If you did not spend time with family and friends for some reason, it's okay; look ahead and make a resolve to as much time as possible with them.

Dance it out

I am going off to college in a few days, and while I was packing, it just hit me. August 10th would be the last day of possibly my entire life that I would permanently reside in my room. That realization hit me really hard; it made me realize how 18 years of my life just went by and-- okay okay stop. No more emotional thoughts and to get rid of my melancholy I will pop in my headphone play my party playlist and bust out some spectacular moves on my bedroom floor. Trust me, if you are feeling down just play your favorite song and dance those feelings out.

You just killed two birds with one stone-mood lifted and exercise checked off of the list.

And on that note I wish you a good ending to this summer and best of luck for the new school year!

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
