The 8 Best Things About Coming Home

Whether we like to admit it or not, being away from home is hard. I know that for some it's easier to leave the nest but others but it's almost impossible to not miss at least one thing from home. Here are the 8 things I find that I am most excited to come home to.

1. My Room

Oh, how I miss having my own space! Although I will be living in my own room next year coming from living in the dorm really allowed me to create an appreciation of my room. Even if I did have my own room I believe that there is nothing like my OG room at home.

2. My Mom

Before I moved out I didn't realize how big of a necessity my mother was! From just talking to her to her doing all the small chores that she does, coming home to her is one of the best things I could ask for.

3. My Dogs

I know coming home to my mom is great but so is coming home to the rest of my family! I love having a full house and knowing I have people that love me are here when I need them. Plus my dad and brother are always able to make me laugh so that's always nice.

5. My Bathroom

Coming home to a good shower head and a nice tub to take a bath in is one of the best things ever! Whether it's a winter break or a weekend trip home I always make time to take a bath because I know that when I go back to school I won't be taking a bath then.

6. The Kitchen

If you know go to OU you know what I'm talking about! Knowing that I have a place to for sure park when I get home (that is close to my house) is a great thing about coming home.

Overall coming home is one of my favorite things! I love knowing that I'll have all these perks when I am in my favorite place ever. After all, there is no place like home!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
