Alex Karev is one of the most underrated hotties on "Grey's Anatomy." We always hear about how hot McDreamy and McSteamy are and how good Jackson looks without his shirt but we often forget just how perfect Karev is. If you don't already love Dr. Karev, here are 8 reasons why you should:

1. He's good with kids.

Even though it wasn't in Karev's initial plans, he decided to specialized in pediatrics. His kind heart may not always show to the adults around him, but it's clear in his little patients. Remember that time he saved a dying baby with his body heat? Who couldn't love someone who saves the lives of kids for a living?

2. He's confident.

Karev is the bomb.com and he knows it. He doesn't need anyone to tell him how bad-ass he is.

3. He knows how to deal with crazy.

Karev is known for attracting the crazies. But what girl doesn't love a guy that knows how to deal with all her craziness instead of just leaving?

4. He's protective.

From his friends to his patients, Karev is always ready to fight for who he cares about.

5. He is always there when someone needs him.

Even though Karev was in love with Izzie, he carried her out when Denny died. He was always there when Arizona needed to talk or needed him to take over her surgeries. He also took over Christina's job as being Meredith's person. After Derek died, he always called Meredith to make sure she was okay and even helped her with the kids when she came back.

6. He's hard-working and dedicated.

Karev didn't have the best home life growing up due to his dad being a drunk and he went to a state school. You can say he was average, but yet his hard work and determination led to him being one of the best surgeons at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. He shows that he doesn't easily give up and is willing to fight for what he wants.

7. He looks good in everything.

From scrubs to glasses, Karev always looks hot.

8. He has a good heart.

Karev took care of Izzie when she was grieving over Denny and stuck by her side through chemo. He always stands up for his patients no matter what it takes. He even took care of his dying father even though he put Karev through Hell and back. The point is, Karev has a heart of gold even though he is known for his blunt and sarcastic personality.

So next time you find yourself sitting down and watching "Grey's," stop and admire how perfect the hot underdog, Dr. Alex Karev, truly is.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
