First of all if you do not have Spotify, you need to go download it immediately. It is the best way to listen to music. You are able to save your favorite songs and albums and even make playlists for different occasions.
I also highly recommend getting the premium membership which allows you do download your playlist and albums and listen to them without wifi. It also takes away the commercials and lets you pick any song you want to listen to with unlimited skips. Once you have Spotify, I highly recommend these albums.
1. Hamilton
Ok, Hamilton is not technically a movie soundtrack, but it is the soundtrack to arguably the most amazing musical of all time, so it is an album you will definitely want to save and listen to. Do not throw away your shot on this one.
2. La La Land
This movie is absolutely adorable, and the music is wonderful and well written. Listening to the soundtrack makes me want to move to California and start an acting career.
3. Beauty and the Beast (2017)
The original Beauty and the Beast soundtrack is wonderful, don't get me wrong, but there is something about the new soundtrack with its new songs and wonderful vocals that makes me even happier.
4. Moana
Moana is the magic of Disney and the brilliant writing and composing of Lin-Manuel Mirandan all rolled into one. You're welcome for the suggestion.
5. Grease
No matter your age, the soundtrack to Grease is sure to keep you moving and grooving.
6. Wicked
Again, this not technically a movie soundtrack, but Wicked is wonderful and was arguably the best broadway show before Hamilton came along.
7. Hannah Montana: The Movie
With songs like Hoedown Throwdown and The Climb, this soundtrack is sure to be a hit.
8. Hairspray (Any of Them)
There are multiple Hairspray albums from all the different versions that have been made over the years, but they are all great to download. You could also put all the albums on one playlist and shuffle it.
Bonus: The Hamilton Mixtape
If you haven't listened to The Hamilton Mixtape yet, it is a must. There are songs that were taken out of the musical, songs from the musical that are sung by different artists and songs that branch off from a song within the musical. How can you go wrong with artists like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Usher, Alicia Keys, Wiz Khalifa, Jimmy Fallon and much more?
