8 Lessons To Learn From Taylor Swift

I know you may be thinking that, its bizarre for a girl nowadays with all the stuff in the media to still have an admiration for Taylor Swift. Well I'm here to tell you that I stuck by her side through everything. This girl has taught me more about myself than I could ever imagine and its all because of her music, her personality and her sense of humor. Taylor Swift is known for her catchy and meaningful lyrics. But deep down there is just a girl trying to get her story heard, with life lessons to women to never give up. When you feel self doubt, failure, love loss etc, look over these quotes to remind yourself that you are worth it. I know these quotes have helped me as a young girl and I find myself now even glancing over them when I feel down.

1. "Being fearless isn't being 100% not fearful, its being terrified but you jump anyway…"

This is my absolute favorite quote by Taylor. It teaches us that it is okay to be fearless and being fearless simply means that we are scared but we just jump anyway.

2. "Even if it ends badly it's worth it if it made you feel something, it taught you something"

Even if things don't end up the way that we want them too, it taught us an important lesson about the experience.

3."If you're lucky enough to be different, don't ever change"

What you have to offer is not a depiction of yourself worth, you are a valuable human being. We make mistakes but we also learn from those mistakes only making us stronger than before.

4. "You are not damaged goods, you are the product of your own learning"

What you went through is not what defines you. We all make mistakes and when we make those mistakes, it only makes us stronger. It is a learning experience for all.

5. "I think that the most important lesson that I've learned is that it's not about wishing away the fact there are mean people in the world. Its about figuring out how you can deal with it in the best way possible and how you can make sure you never intentionally make someone else feel the way they are making you feel"

Yes there are people in this world that will say things to intentionally hurt someone for reasons that may be unknown. But you have the power to change this world, even if it so small.

6. "No matter what happens in life, BE GOOD TO PEOPLE. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind"

Be good, we need more people in this world who are good and if you can be good others can too.

7. "Shake it off, Shake it off"

No matter what life throws at you, shake it off, free yourself from the problem

8. "This isn't a high school thing or an age thing. It's a people thing. People cut other people down out of jealousy, because of something broken inside them, or for no reason at all. Just son;t let them change you or stop you from singing or dancing around to your favorite song"

People will say and do things try and bring people down. Don't let it stop you from being you.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
