We've all been there. You know you need to go to the gym, but you really, really, really don't want to. Not even a little bit. Not even at all. And besides, you have a stockpile of excuses ready to rationalize why you're avoiding the gym, so you might as well use them, right?
1. Your bed is just so darn comfy.
Bruno Mars had it right because today you just don't feel like doing anything. And besides, when you're lying in your bed, snuggled under the blankets, the last place in the world you want to be is at the gym, especially if it includes sweating it out next to some girl wearing full makeup on the treadmill. Thanks, but no thanks.
2. Plus, you're like super tired.
3. And you’d honestly rather be eating
Anything. Everything. It doesn’t really matter. As long as it’s edible, and you don’t have to run to get to it, you'll eat it.
4. You’re just not up for any form of human interaction.
If you go to the gym, you’ll inevitably run into a bunch of people you know, and you'll have to make small talk while looking like a sweaty creature that just emerged from under a rock. And to be honest, you’re really just not up to it today.
5 You’d rather go out on a weeknight than be up in the gym just workin’ on your fitness.
6. You’re too lazy for the post-gym shower.
But not one of yours.
7. You have too much “work” to get done.
Suddenly, everything on your to-do list just became super important and needs to be done yesterday.
8. You tell yourself, “Whatever. I’ll just go tomorrow instead.”
But we all know that it’s a vicious cycle, and you’ll probably just end up using one of these excuses again tomorrow.
