I've always been a music person, I was that girl who could sing along to just about any song that came on the radio regardless of genre, station, or artist. That being said, I absolutely love when I can find songs that relate to me and the situation I'm in at the time - or even situations I've dealt with in the past. A few years ago, my freshman year of college, I came across an artist whose songs could describe just about every situation I've ever been in – Corey Smith.

After thinking, I came up with eight songs in particular that can teach you a little extra about life:

1. If I Could Do It Again

"If I could do it again, you know I'd do it the same."

No regrets. Every choice, both good and bad, has led me to this place in my life, and I wouldn't change a thing.

2. Be The Change

"Be the hope to those whose lives are far from easy. Reach out and lend a hand, share everything you can, and be the change. Be the change."

If you want the world to be any different, you have to stand up and do something about it.

3. Twenty-One

"I wish I was twenty-one."

Being 21 means being in your prime. It’s that in-between stage of being young enough to hang with the partiers, but also the wine drinking home bodies.

4. When The Sun Goes Down In Georgia

“When the sun goes down in Georgia, I'll be drifting back in time - wishin' love could've changed your mind.”

You’ll never forget someone you love, no matter what the circumstances.

5. I’m Not Gonna Cry

“I've waited my whole life, now I'm gonna fly right outta here. It's a bittersweet goodbye, but I'm not gonna cry.”

Moving on in life can be hard, but it’s a part of life – don’t cry because it ended, smile because it happened.

6. The Lord Works In Strange Ways

“The Lord works in a strange way, and Heaven knows He's planning on a miracle. Man, I wonder how it's gonna go. The Lord works in a strange way.”

The Lord has plans we know nothing about, trust in Him and you’ll end up where you need to be.

7. Maybe Next Year

“Maybe next year, I'll start acting my age.”

No explanation needed, sometimes you just gotta be a kid at heart.

8. The Baseball Song

“Life's a fastball, belt high, coming right down the middle. Don't stand there, and let it go by. Swing hard and aim for the stands.”

Don’t let life pass you by. Take charge, and shoot for the stars.

If you haven't heard of Corey Smith, you're missing out. Make sure you check him out because chances are, he can relate to your life just like he related to mine.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
