As someone who is normally consumed by the fictional world, I can appreciate a show that I can be immersed in. I have one way I like to watch my TV shows, and that way is all at once. I don’t really enjoy having gaps between watching shows because I’m forgetful, and if I forget what happened in season one when I’m about to watch season five, that’s a problem.

The list I have complied have all been shows that I have either binge-watched myself or have started binge-watching, but haven’t continued because of other distractions in my life.

1. Bates Motel

Bates Motel is the prequel to the movie “Psycho” and shows how his psyche unravels, if you will, throughout his teenage years. If you haven’t seen “Psycho”, you can still watch the TV series. I haven’t watched the movie, but still binge watched the entire first season in one night. The show keeps you on edge from the very first episode!

2. American Horror Story

I think this is one of those shows where you start watching, and you think that you won’t really like it too much and then you get sucked in. The story line of this one is a little weird because those the different seasons have different plot lines, the seasons start to connect around season four.

I don’t have a clear-cut synopsis on American Horror Story, but I can tell you that the creators of this show have made something addictive and creepy.

The story follows a haunted house, an asylum, a coven of witches, a freak show, and even vampires throughout the current seasons.

3. Supernatural

As my favorite show of all time, this is the show I would recommend first. I ignored all my responsibilities to get through the first seven seasons in a matter of a month, which was an all time record for me.

The show follows two bothers that are demon hunters. In season one they are on a mission to save their dad who is currently missing, but as you get through each season, you’ll notice that here is more to the story than just that.

The humor in this series is to die for and the love you will have for the characters will pull at your heartstrings. With 10 seasons currently on Netflix, this show would be great if you had a lot of time on your hands.

4. Grey’s Anatomy

The show is basically a soap opera in a hospital. There is romance, heartache and death. The show is less based on the hospital and the medicine aspect, and is more based on the characters relationships and growth.

I would honestly say that Grey’s is a show that you can pick up anywhere and fall in love with the characters. As someone, who has watched the show sporadically and is invested in the characters, I think that this show is perfect for binge-watching.

I could watch eight episodes at a time as long as I had a box of tissues waiting beside me. The only reason I haven’t full watched this show is because I know which of my favorite characters are gone.

5. Dexter

Dexter is based off the book series written by Jeff Lindsey, and is one of my favorite adult books. The series is set around a sociopath who kills people without remorse. He is the blood spatter analysis for the Miami-Metro Police Department. He is a killer who only kills criminals.

The series is eight seasons long, with some really weird twists and turns along the way. If you’re into criminal stories and thrillers, this is a show you need in your life.

6. The Flash

Barry Allen is the sweetest, funniest, and nerdiest character I have ever had the pleasure of watching/reading about. I finished the first season in two days, staying up until 4 a.m. one of those days, telling myself just one more episode.

The characters in this show are just super lovable, and you can’t help but fall for them.

The Flash is a TV show based off the DC comic character. He has super speed, and he uses his powers to save the day, one innocent bystander at a time.

7. Salem

Ready for buzz words? Witches. Salem. Waterboarding. Torture.

While this town is on the look for the witches hiding out in their town, they turn to torturing the town’s folk that are accused of being witches. The show is leaves you in suspense as you are also truing to uncover the mysteries that the small town has buried.

This show is such a great watch if you are in the mood for a creepy and thrilling adventure that you won’t be able to stop until you know what happens next.

8. The Walking Dead

This one is the last on the list because it is the most popular. I think of all the shows, this one is the one that most people have either watched completely or watched somewhat, but regardless of your thoughts, it is one of the most addicting shows that is on television. Why? Because this show knows how to do cliffhangers to make their fans come back for another episode.

They know how to pull our heartstrings by killing our most beloved characters. They know that no matter what risk they take, the fans will stay because we are devoted. This show is raw, and it makes me fear what would happen if there was really was a zombie outbreak.

Also a side note, I was one of the last people to jump on this bandwagon. I started when season five was being released. I watched the first three seasons in one weekend, and then finished season four the day before the season five premiere.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
