The most depressing moment when indulging in the greatness, we call Netflix, is when you come to the season finale of a series you were watching and then you ask yourself "What do I watch now?" It's probably one of the most dreadful questions to ask yourself besides: "Should I watch another episode or do my work?"
I recently was in this position when I finished the last season of a show I was watching and felt lost, because I had invested so much of my time and energy into the series. The excitement I used to get when I would be sitting in class and couldn't wait till I got out so that I could go back to my dorm and finish the episode I watching previously. You may think I'm a little off, but trust me there are a lot of people out there who feel my exact pain. I honestly feel like there needs to be a support group for this. Despite the fact, I put together a list of 8 binge worthy series that you need to watch pronto. Check them out below!
1. Master of None
Aziz Ansari is a master of comedy in this hilarious Netflix Original Series. The series follows the lives of Dev (Ansair) and his friends. Dev is a 30-year old New-York actor, who has goes through a daily struggle of figuring out what he wants in life (hence the title). He also tackles some pretty diverse issues.
2. Nurse Jackie
Known for its Dark Comedy, Nurse Jackie follows the life of Jackie Peyton starring Edie Falco. Although she is a skilled nurse, she struggles with a drug addiction. Throughout the seasons you will fall in love with her snarky sense of humor and root for her as she tries to tackle the every day trials and tribulations of being a nurse.
3. 30 Rock
You've probably have seen the memes all over Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, and Instagram. Liz Lemon is America's sweetheart. Starring Tina Fey, the series is somewhat based on her experiences while being a head writer for Saturday Night Live. What really makes the show are Fey's hilarious co-stars: Tracey Morgan, Alec Baldwin, Jane Krakowski, and Jack McBrayer. Even though Fey thought the show would get cancelled after the first season, it went on for seven seasons.
4. Breaking Bad
High school chemistry teacher turned drug dealer? This series is about a man who risk it all to ensure that his family is financially stable after finding out he has lung cancer. He teams up with a former student and turns his RV into a meth lab, and it all goes down from there. Bryan Cranston does an excellent job starring as Walter White.
5. Archer
If you love family guy, bob's burgers, or anything Seth MacFarlane then this series is without doubt for you. Archer is about a master-spy who works with his super-controlling mother and crazy ex-girlfriend.
6. Jane the Virgin
Jane the Virgin has received a lot of accolades in the past year for its genius writing and hilarious commentary. Gina Rodriguez stars as Jane Villanueva is a obedient and hard-working Latina virgin. Jane becomes pregnant after being artificially inseminated by mistake. Watch this series as Jane deals with love, family-issues, and becoming a mom.
7. Mad Men
Starring Jon Hamm as the infamous Don Draper, Mad Men is set in the time where smoking in offices was still accepted, and drinking scotch like it was water was the norm. The setting is the 1960's in New-York city at a advertising agency called Sterling Cooper. The show does a wonderful job at portraying the cultural evolution and the rise of postmodernism. Another thing that many have admired is how the writers give an in-depth look into the background of the characters lives. Plus the second-half of season 7 just got added on Netflix, so get check it out!
8. The Office
Michael's hate for Toby, Jim and Pam's adorable relationship, and Dwight desperately wanting to be the regional manager, are three descriptions that sum up the Office. The shows follows the office life of a group of people working for a paper company called "Dunder Mifflin." All of the characters are interesting and will have you on the floor laughing. Many people get turned off by the first episode, but trust me once you get past the first season you will fall in love with this show. This is the kind of seires that you will want to watch over-and-over again.
