As we near the end of the summer and approach the beginning of yet another school year, it is easy to get caught up in all the action and excitement. I pray that as you begin this school year, you find peace in knowing that we have a Heavenly Father who loves us deeply and is with us every step of our lives. I hope that these bible verses bring you as much joy and enthusiasm for what is to come as they do for me!
1. Jeremiah 32:27
"I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?"
The beginning of the school year can be a very stressful time, especially if you are a college freshman. It is important to remember that no matter what the circumstances may be, nothing is too hard for the Lord. He makes all things possible.
2. Matthew 6:34
"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
School can be a major cause of worry. You can almost always find yourself worrying about grades, homework, friends, extracurricular activities, or a mixture of these things. The Lord does not want us to worry, but instead, wants us to trust in Him and that He will provide our lives with what is important.
3. Psalm 63:3-4
"Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands."
God loves you more than you will ever be able to comprehend. Let this be engraved in your mind as you go about this school year, and let all that you do be done with Him in mind.
4. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances."
By doing these three things, your life will become far more enriched with all that the Lord has to offer. You will be able to cherish the little things and hard times will become easier. These three things are what the Lord wants us to do; don't forget to do these things in all the hustle and bustle of school!
5. Song of Songs 4:7
"You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you."
God made you perfectly and wonderfully. Every single part of you was thought up and constructed flawlessly by the Lord, so own it! Go into this school year with all the confidence possible knowing that you were made to be exactly as you already are, flawless!
6. Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
This verse is a great reminder to trust in the Lord at all times. He knows the plans he has for you, so you must be patient in seeing those plans laid out. Instead of trying to figure everything out on your own, trust that the Lord's plans are far greater and that by submitting to Him you are setting your life up for success. School is a great time to practice trusting in the Lord no matter what occurs!
7. Proverbs 31:25
"She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."
Be humbly confident in all that you do! Do not worry about what may happen in the future, but instead enjoy life freely knowing that your life is in the Lord's hands!
8. Matthew 5:16
"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
As you go about your school year, be a light for others! Allow yourself to be a true testament of God's everlasting love, and show others that with God all is possible. By being a light for others to follow you may give someone the greatest gift possible; a relationship with the Heavenly Father!
Let this school year be one full of Jesus and his love for all! Remember to praise him in all that you do, and that he is always by your side. Don't let the chaos of school keep you from finding time to spend with the Lord, and if you do hinder from the Lord remember that he always welcomes you back with open arms! Let Jesus lead your heart and your way, and this will be a wonderful year!
