8 And A Half Signs You Might Be Addicted To Coffee

Whether it is a double-whipped Iced Caramel Macchiato or an earthy Ethiopian blend with no cream or sugar, coffee is a large portion of your life.

1. Half of your budget is reserved for coffee.

Are you always checking your bank account/flex bucks to make sure you have enough for a cup o' joe?

2. You have that one special mug.

You may have an extensive collection, but there is that one special mug for your favorite part of the morning — or evening (hey, we aren't judging).

3. You're on a first name basis with your local Starbucks employees.

Shout out to Angela, my brave barista hero! If you know your barista on a first name basis, you might be visiting the coffee shop a bit too much.

4. When you have 10 minutes between class, but you know you've got enough time for a Starbucks run.

There are those who have calculated the exact time it takes to get their coffee fix in between classes. You know who you are.

5. Anytime you hear of something coffee flavored, it grasps your immediate attention.

Coffee flavored ice cream, candy, milkshake or even chocolate covered coffee beans (either way, you're intrigued to try it).

6. Going a day without any takes a toll on you.

When not having coffee for an extended period of time and you experience a sense of sluggishness, loss of focus, loss of the desire to go on living or irritability, you might have a little caffeine dependency!

7. You've got ordering your drink down to a science.

Ever order your (complicated) favorite coffee drink and then turn around to some dumbfounded friends? Some of us have experienced it.

8. Your affinity for coffee is what makes you, you!

Sure you might spend a little extra on that sweet nectar of the gods, but it's fine! Chances are you have friends who share the same love, and it's what gets us up in the morning. So whether it's iced or hot, keep sipping!

9. You find yourself constantly having to — hold up, I'm gonna go get a refill.

I'll never forget the day that someone told me these words: "Madison, I think you're a good friend to everyone but yourself." I stood there completely in awe of that statement.
