Congratulations to everyone who is a true freshman; you've now made it to week whatever-this-is and can truly be considered a college student. Not that you weren't a college student before, but at this point you've crossed the bridge from living a high school lifestyle to truly living life as a college student (too late to turn back now). Just in case you're wondering if you now fall on the student spectrum in the college category, here's a list of all the things that you'll now probably notice that you're doing.
1. You pride yourself on going to class.
No matter if you didn't do the reading for the class or even pay any attention in the class at all, at least you went.
2. You don't look at crosswalks.
Bonus: if you dare oncoming traffic to hit you, your tuition will be covered.
3. You plan your social events based on your homework.
And by that I really just mean that you're probably doing things and going to events as an excuse not to do your homework that has been piling up for a week. Bonus: if you say "I'll start doing my homework after I (insert word here)" and then never do (insert word here), you'll never have to do your homework.
4. By now you've gone through a show on Netflix.
Ah, procrastination at its finest.
5. You've called home more times in a week than your entire four years in high school.
Just to check in and see how they're doing, right? Oh, and also to ask how to cook chicken. And to ask how long eggs stay good for. And to ask about every symptom you've been experiencing.
6. Mac & Cheese or Ramen are your go-to meals.
And spaghetti sauce can change the flavor profile of any meal.
7. Your outfit of choice is probably shorts & a t-shirt.
But you still need every item in your closet (just in case).
