Sitcoms, especially nowadays, have become such a commodity. Whether it be Friends, Seinfeld, or How I Met Your Mother, everyone has their favorite. These are the shows that everyone tells you to go and watch on Netflix, and everyone has always seen them, so you never know what to watch. The following are some sitcoms that you may have heard of, but never thought anything of. I promise they are just as good as all the others.
1. "30 Rock"
Just look at this all-star cast: Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan a just a few. 30 Rock is the story of a lonely, desperate TV producer (Fey) and how she deals day to day with her superior (Baldwin) and the star of her show (Morgan). This falls under the "you've probably heard of, but never seen" category, and its well worth it.
2. "Portlandia"
Fred Armisen combines with Carrie Browstein to create a hilarious satire on the city of Portland Oregon. This show will have you rolling, it is so unexpected and consistently hilarious.
3. "King of Queens"
Kevin James before he started to be in movies. Need I say more?
4. "Will and Grace"
You know Ron Swanson's horrible wife, Tammy 2 in Parks and Rec? That character is played by his actual wife Megan Mullally. Now imagine if she had her own sitcoms. That is what Will and Grace is - another hilarious story about a couple and her friends.
5. "3rd Rock From The Sun"
JGL and John Lithgow are aliens sent to Earth for research from their mother planet. Yeah, interesting concept, I know. That's what this show is about and what makes it so great.
6. "Arrested Development"
Will Arnett, Michael Cera, and Jason Bateman are all names that we have come to know and love, this show has them before they became famous. This show is the story of a son who has to take over his families affairs due to the imprisonment of his father.
7. "Scrubs"
The story of how John Dorian and his friends Turk, Elliot and Carla deal with the day to day craziness of working at a hospital with a nut case of a doctor, Dr. Cox and an unmotivated, old Dr. Kelso.
Everyone loves to have a good laugh sometimes, and we all go to the typical shows that everyone knows about on Netflix or just on TV. These are some of the goods ones that regularly get over looked. All are on par with the HIMYM's of the world, so trust me and give some of these a try!
