It's that time of year where you gather with friends and family for the holidays. When this happens there are definitely some guaranteed topics that you will hit on. These are the same basic questions that are often used to catch everyone up on what you're doing and how life is for you at the moment. Welcomed or not, be prepared to discuss these at your Thanksgiving dinner table on Thursday night. You know it's happened before, and you can assure it will take place this year again.

1. The Election

Need I say more?

2. How's school? Classes?

What's your major again? How's strat/frat life?

3. What you want to do after graduation

No, I don't have a job lined up yet. Yes, I'm pretty sure I know what I want to do. No, I don't know exactly where I want to be. Yes, I liked what I did last summer....

4. If single: Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend yet?

No? Why not? Should definitely get on that. Please move on to the next question.

5. If taken: How is your relationship going?

Thankfully talking about my sibling's love life is more interesting than mine.

6. How the job the going

...If you have one, of course.

7. Do you still *insert hobby you eventually got bored with and forgot about*?

Same goes for that sport you only participated in during high school.
