Finally, it's that time of the year again where the fall semester is over and we all get a month break from it all. Not only have we been teased with a break from Thanksgiving but after a torturous semester of classes, quizzes, projects and tests this is the only thing we have had on our mind. This month is exactly what we need before going back for another rough spring semester. Here's to all the things that happen right when were leaving for break.
1. The last final
Walking to your last final is the biggest annoyance but best feeling in the world. I know we all weighed the options of not going to our last final so we can start break sooner. How will a zero average into this grade? Can I still pass the class? But of course, in the end, we all know we can't a zero and have to go even if we end up with a 6 on the test. Although leaving the exam you'll never feel more free and ready to start your break.
2. Going out before you leave
It's your last night out with all your friends before you all go your separate ways back home. After an entire semester together you guys can't think of anything else better to do but spend your last night out dancing and partying.
3. Packing to go home
Going to school in a completely different climate than what it is back home makes packing a little easier since all my winter clothes at home all I have to bring back and forth is my makeup. For people though that have to pack their entire wardrobe back up must be the worst process.
4. Using the rest of your meal swipes
Can't have all your swipes left before you leave so eating anything and everything before break starts is a must. Probably gained most of my weight these last few days just trying to finish my swipes.
5. Collecting your clothes back
After letting all your friends borrow all your clothes every weekend you forget who has what. So before getting on the plane home or getting in the car you text everyone in your phone to see who still has that cute top and perfect fitting skirt you've been missing.
6. Finding someone to take care of your fish
Fish are the only thing were allowed to have on campus and getting that onto a plane isn't exactly possible. You can't let that little guy die so searching high and low to find someone to watch him is on the top of your to-do list before leaving.
7. Saying goodbye to your friends
It's only a month apart, but it feels like even longer than that. Being with your friends 24/7 for months this whole month away from each other is going to feel like an eternity. So saying goodbye right before you leave might leave all of you with a lot of tears and the best hugs.
