Having a friend is one thing, but having a best friend is something completely different. When you have someone in your life that is there through it all, sometimes we forget to thank them for it all, so this is for you best friend.

1. Thank you for going through all of our weird/awkward teen phases with me

Aeropostale, dark eyeliner, and trying to become grown up and "hot" all before we knew what it even was. So thank you for experimenting all of the ugliest and most awkward things we possible could've made ourselves into.

2. Thank you for being honest with me when you knew something was a bad idea or choice

A friend will sometimes tell you white lies to protect your feelings, but being my best friend, you would rather be honest and prevent me from doing something stupid. Even if it's brutal honesty.

3. Thank you for loving me even after I mess up and do something that was dumb

Yes, even after you told me it was a bad idea, I may or may not have done it anyways. With best friends, we're so close to that sometimes I may want to seek their approval, I know you know what's best for me.

4. Thank you for listening to me go on and on about a guy or a problem

You may listen to me vent every night about the same thing and I may never actually do anything to fix it, but thank you for listening anyways.

5. Thank you for allowing your family to become my second family and mine yours.

From helping each other with our chores when we were little, to our parents scolding one of us like we were their own child. But throughout the years I know my family would do anything for you and yours would do anything for me.

6. Thank you for being there for me when and how nobody else will ever be.

Among all the tears, laughs and between our darkest and happiest moments, I'd never want anyone else there except you.

7. Thank you for not changing or growing apart and still being my best friend after all these years

Thank you for everything you've given me all these years of our lives, I really don't know what I'd do without you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
