7 Stages of a Day at the Amusement Park

Amusement parks bring back memories of roller coasters, funnel cakes, and good times. They are a true summer pastime. I’ve compiled a list of the 7 stages each of us goes through when we visit an amusement park for the day, and I must say they are pretty accurate,

1. Jump in the car and get excited!

Hopefully your drive to the park isn’t too long, but some of us have to drive 2-4 hours to get there. After that long of a drive you are sure to have a lot of excitement and pent-up energy! The best way to enjoy a car trip to an amusement park is to turn up the radio and sing your hearts out!

2. You made it! Now go get riding!

If you can contain yourself to not run to the park entrance, the first few rides will get your adrenaline pumping. Whether it be the roller coasters, the water rides, or the carousel, the rides are definitely the best part.

3. Hunger sets in…

After riding for a while, you may work up a bit of an appetite! Naturally, an amusement park has some of the best foods in the world. You get to choose from funnel cakes, French fries, ice cream, cheese-steaks, chicken tenders, popcorn, and lemonade. Either way, you can’t make a wrong choice.

4. Quick! Run to the nearest bathroom!

Unless you are some sort of super-human, at some point the rides are going to hit your stomach and make you feel a bit sick. My personal worst enemies are the spinning rides. When this happens the best thing to do is grab a drink and take a break.

5. Need a break? Games are just the cure.

As mentioned above, a break from the constant riding is just what you need. What is the best way to take a break? It is to play some carnival games! I will admit that some of them are completely impossible to win, but it is still fun to give them a shot. My favorite game is the balloon dart game!

6. Exhaustion sets in…

After playing some games you will most definitely be ready to hit the rides again. There will be a moment though that the entire day hits you and you become so exhausted. Hopefully you didn’t have to park too far away, because now you will have to drag yourself back through the parking lot.

7. Planning your next big trip on the ride home.

Just about 15 minutes ago you were completely exhausted, but as soon as you get back on the road the excitement comes back. You all start talking about your next trip and start planning on what you’ll do.

Amusement parks are a great way to hang out with your family and friends, and the day is sure to be full of laughter and fun.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
