With being halfway through the semester, you might not be feeling like your usual boss bitch self, which is understandable. We just got done with midterms, we’re struggling to keep our grades up, and we are anticipating registering for classes so that we can have the perfect Spring schedule so not only do we get the classes we need, but we can hopefully get a two-day schedule. Don’t worry, boo, I got you covered. These songs will bring back the boss bitch vibes back into your life.

1. "Bodak Yellow" - Cardi B.

I know, you hear this song everywhere, but the chorus is setting you up for the feels you need in your life. An actual boss doesn’t let anyone mess with her, so take a lesson from Cardi B, laugh at the haters, buy yourself some Louis Vuitton shoes and rap along.

2. "Sorry Not Sorry" - Demi Lovato

Another song that’s been flooding the radio but this is the ultimate girl anthem. Talking about how good you feel in a crappy situation makes everything better, especially with Demi’s power vocals. "Sorry Not Sorry" is essential for my drive home playlist and always makes me feel like a boss.

3. "Sorry" - Beyoncè

Off of her last album, "Sorry" is a song that can make anyone feel like they rule the world. Anytime I’m mad at a certain someone, I slip on this song, play it super loud, and they get the message. Beyonce is the queen of boss bitches, and I can’t wait to see what else comes out. She’s been spotted with her laptop so let’s hope it comes soon!

4. "Bossy" - Kelis

Coming back with a throwback, Kelis is known for her milkshakes but don't be fooled, she’s just as bossy. This has been one of my favorite songs since I was a kid and it will always be a go to, especially when I need the pick me up.

5. "No Frauds" - Nicki Minaj

Nicki will always be my queen so if I didn’t mention her here it would be a travesty! "No Frauds" will still be a go-to because she is the epitome of a great rapper. We always have that person who thinks they’re better when we know they’re not or someone who is a fake friend, so this song goes out to all of them.

6. "Look What You Made Me Do" - Taylor Swift

No matter what your opinions on her are, Taylor Swift owns the pop music scene. Especially with this song, she is killing her image and coming out with something else. Taytay knows how to attack people in songs, make money, and still come out on top, and whether you like her or not, you’ll most likely still have this song stuck in your head.

7. "No Scrubs" - TLC

This song will ALWAYS make anyone feel like a boss bitch because let’s be honest, TLC is the definition of boss bitches. "No Scrubs" will remain many an anthem for many girls and karaoke songs, and if you’re anything like me, you’re going to be in a good mood if you hear this song.

Listen, there’s obviously a lot of songs that will make you feel great in a lot of different genres. But these songs will always be on my playlist if I’m having a bad day, good day, or whatever kind of day I’m having. I’m always feeling like a boss bitch, but if you need a pick me up, maybe listen to one of these songs and let me know if it helps!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
