Snapchat has become a huge part of today’s society. Snapchat is extremely popular because almost everyone has it, it is addicting, and it is a quick and easy way to talk to your friends. Besides these three things Snapchat has one more thing making it super popular: Snapstreaks. By creating a Snapstreak with your friends you are basically guaranteeing that you will be using the app at least once a day to make sure none of your streaks die. This leads to us having and sustaining Snapstreaks with lots of different people. While each streak is unique, there are some distinct types that we all have.

1. The Forever Friend

These are your longest streaks. You and this friend have been Snapchatting forever and ever and probably have a streak over a year long. You two are so committed to this streak you would rather die yourself than let it die. You don’t only snap each other once a day like required but throughout the entire day.

2. The On-Again Off-Again

You and this friend cannot keep a Snapchat streak to save your life. You’ve literally been trying forever to have a streak and always lose it within a month. Despite the fact that you can’t seem to keep a streak, it doesn’t stop you. You always feel disappointed when it dies but at the same time you find it kind of hilarious.

3. The No Escape

At one point you genuinely cared about this streak. Now not so much. You only keep this streak because you can’t bear to let it die. You really couldn’t care less about what this person is doing today or seeing their face. You send your one obligatory Snapchat to save the streak and then refuse to Snapchat them anymore that day. You want to end the streak but at the same time feel trapped into keeping it.

4. The Accident

This streak comes about in two ways. The first is that you accidentally sent a snap to the wrong person and from there a streak began. You never meant to have a streak with them but after the accidental snap you guys decided to start one. The other way is that you and your friend Snapchatted each other enough times to create a streak without meaning to. One day you just opened your app and were surprised to see the little fire emoji by their name.

5. The Not You Again

While you do not actually have a Snapstreak with this person, they are an important part of this list. You don't want to have a streak with them, but they never seem to get the message. Despite never responding and leaving them on opened this person continues to snap you in hopes of creating a streak that you really don't want.

6. The Generic Joe

You can tell that you are getting the basic streak keeping snap from this friend. It either says streaks or some other generic message that you can just tell is going to every single person they have a streak with. The Generic Joe can also be a No Escape if neither of you send more snaps after this. But it can also be the beginning of a whole day of snaps and conversations between the two of you. You don't mind the generic snap if that's the case.

7. The Chatter

You and this friend have each other’s phone numbers but use Snapchat to communicate anyways. You never text each other. Instead you always use the chat feature. You save your entire conversation every single time you talk. You may send actual snaps to each other from time to time, but the bulk of your Snapchat interactions are over chat.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
