7 Signs You're Ready For Fall

Every year at around this time when school starts the weather starts to bring around change. No more beaches and pool days, but sweaters and colored leaves and coffee. Something about fall is magical. Whether it's because I grew up in a desert and love any type of weather that is lower than 90 degrees, or because some of my fondest memories happen in the fall. Unlike Spring where I am usually dying of allergies or summer where you're just dripping in sweat or winter when it's almost too cold sometimes to leave the house, fall is that perfect in between. It's one of my favorite seasons and if you're anything like me then you'll recognize these as the signs that you're just as ready for fall as I am

1. You find yourself reaching for your fall clothing even if it still is 90 degrees outside.

Let’s be real, the best part about the fall is that it’s that perfect temperature between too hot and too cold. Layers always look cute and everything just looks so much better. It smells better, the food that comes out tastes better, life just always feels better in the fall.

    2. You check your weather app on the reg to see if it’s starting to cool down at all

    3. You are 100% over the heat

Now don’t get me wrong, heat is wonderful and we are all probably going to be missing it like crazy this winter, but when it’s just hot 24/7 it gets to be too much. Sweating becomes a major issue which then leads to more laundry and more showers which is terrible for your skin. So with fall coming around and the temperatures dropping, you finally get to wear that eyeshadow palette you got without having to worry about it sweating off.

4. When it rains is when you’re happiest

Rain in the fall is the absolute best. It’s cold enough that wearing your rain coat doesn’t make you feel like you were in a sauna jacket, but it’s not freezing so that you don’t have to wear a thick jacket and cover every ounce of your body either. It’s just so magical and special. There is nothing like rain in the fall.

5. You’ve started planning your Halloween costume

Okay, so everyone knows that other than thanksgiving, Halloween is what the fall is all about. Going out with your friends, dressing up and just having a good time. If you’re anything like me, you start planning your costume months in advance, but the fall is when you really get to start prepping everything. Getting everything together, making sure it all works, and seeing your finished product. It feels almost like Christmas morning whenever you feel the days coming closer to you being able to show off your masterpiece.

6. Halloween decorations at the supermarket make you super excited

7. Seeing even one leaf on the ground makes you want to break out the scarves and boots

This is the start of it all. When the leaves start to change, that’s when everything about fall starts to become official. When you don’t have to feel crazy about reaching for your sweaters or going and getting that PSL. Its when fall starts to approach, no matter how slowly and it’s the best feeling ever.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
