India is a beautiful country, richly diverse, and wonderfully exotic, making it an excellent destination to visit and cross off your bucket lists. If you plan on traveling the world, be sure to add India to the places you are going to visit. Here's why.

1. The Culture

India is a very family based society, and much of the social life revolves around familial activities. Indians are very hospitable and welcoming as well.


2. The Food

India is a massive country, and it has an enormous variety of foods available. Each region specializes in a unique cuisine, making Indian food some of the most diverse, yet delicious.


3. The Taj Mahal

One of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal is an enormous mausoleum built by a Mughal Emperor in honor of his deceased wife. Bet you wish your tomb was this cool.

4. The Ganges River

One of the holiest sites in the world, the Ganges River is revered and an incredible and eye opening place to visit.


5. The Himalayas

The most famous mountain range in the world, the gorgeous Himalayas line the border between India and China.


6. The Wildlife

India is a very fertile country, with extensive rainfall. The rainforests are gorgeous and house exotic wildlife such as the endangered Bengal Tiger.


7. The Desert

When one thinks of India, the images of lush rainforests are brought to mind, but in reality, the environment is quite diverse. Though there are rainforests, the desert of Rajasthan is an incredible experience, with many ancient and beautiful forts as well.
