7 Reasons Procrasting is ACTUALLY Good

People may say that procrastination is a bad thing, but trust me when I saw it teaches you a thing or two. Look at these 7 ways that you did not realize procrastination helps you with!

You can actually be more productive

While many people might procrastinate for the sake of waiting until the last minute, others take up the extra time to do other things that may be stress relieving. Also as you procrastinate more, you are able to do multiple tasks in shorter amounts of time.

Unnecessary Work Disappears

When you are limited with the amount of time you have to do something, many excessive tasks are not thought about. This can help relieve stress because you are not stuck worrying about unnecessary things.

You Only Have To Focus On Important Things

Procrastination helps your realize what is the most important thing and helps establish priorities. By giving yourself a limited time to do tasks, you are able to learn what is the crucial task and what can wait for later. This helps in real life situations because helps you decide on one task over the other.

Procrastinating Leads Creativity

When you are restricted with the amount of time you have, you start getting creative with how you complete a project or find ways to solve problems faster. When you are given a time restriction, you are forced to think about more ideas at once which would have not occurred if you were given tons of time.

Procrastination helps with communication

Sometime, even as a "professional" procrastinator, you miss the deadline and you have to find smart ways to apologize and get your grade back. It may be stressful, but the best apologies come 6 hours after the mistake therefore making your apology as a procrastinator better.

Choosing The Best Idea Possible

You may be contemplating a certain choice for an assignment or project and might consistently worry about it and push actually doing it to later. In this case, procrastination may come in hand since you must choose the best idea that you can complete in a small amount of time. The pressure motivates you to decide faster.

Procrastinating Forces You To Be Motivated

You may feel unmotivated to do something when it is due at a later time since you are unaware of the importance of the assignment and you feel "it's not that important". When you procrastinate and have hours left to submit a task, it helps you understand the value of the project and forces you to complete it properly.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine.
