Ever since "Wonder Woman" hit theaters on June 2, the superhero world has been going crazy for Gal Gadot, the actress who plays Wonder Woman herself. Not only has Gal starred in "Wonder Woman," she has also been in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," several "Fast & Furious" movies, and "Keeping Up With the Joneses." Gal has become a role model for girls and women all across the globe, and here are some reasons why.

1. She's a bad-ass

Before Gal started her career as a model and an actress, she was a soldier in the Israeli army for 2 years as a combat trainer. Her transformation to Wonder Woman, however, took 6 long months of preparation: 6 hours a day- 2 hours in the gym, 2 hours of fight choreography, and 2 hours of horseback riding. Oh, and she shot re-takes for Wonder Woman while 5 MONTHS PREGNANT.

2. She's beautiful on the inside...

This quote says a lot: “It was an honor for me to do this part. I’m all about strong female figures and I love Wonder Woman."

And this story says even more: A girl at a meet-and-greet with Gal walked up to her in tears because she was meeting her idol. Gal asked for the girl's name and then talked to her in order to calm her down.

3. ... and on the outside

At 5 feet 10 inches tall, Gal naturally has the height of a model, and she proved that she was the most beautiful woman in Israel when she was crowned Miss Israel in 2004. She then went on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant.

4. She's a super mom

In 2008, Gal married Yaron Versano, a successful real estate developer. Together they have two daughters, which makes them the most perfect family in Hollywood (in my opinion). She balances acting, modeling, and making public appearances while raising two beautiful girls.

5. She wants to better the world and the people in it

Gal has publicly expressed support for many different charities and causes such as: ocean sustainability, Malala Fund, mental health awareness, a focus on a healthy lifestyle, and females in STEM (creating apps, focusing on science and math careers, etc.).

6. She's very smart

Gal studied law and international relations, all while not feeling comfortable speaking fluently in English. Because of this, she used to think she was too smart and too serious to become an actress.

7. She's proud of her roots

"I definitely have a strong sense of my Jewish and Israeli identity. I did my two-year military service; I was brought up in a very Jewish, Israeli family environment, so of course, my heritage is very important to me." -Gal Gadot

To sum it up: Gal Gadot is everything we want to be in life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
