7 Affordable Loungewear Pieces You Need To Keep You Cozy During Quarantine

One of my favorite things to do to past the time is to online shop, and with all the time in the world right now there is no better time than the present to do so.

And since the only thing you can wear right now is sweatpants, why not shop for cute loungewear (that won't break the bank of course).

1. UO Leona Slouchy Pocket Sweater

Urban Outfitters

Just ordered this baby for myself in both white and black. This is not only a quarantine staple, but a life staple for sure not to mention, rave reviews online).

2. Me To We Washed Biker Shorts

These biker shorts from Pacsun have tons of sizes left online AND come in 3 adorable colors. Only 20 bucks and these babies are yours.

3. Good American Active Animal Mix Uppercut Bra

Um... are you kidding? This sports bra from Shopbop is probably the coolest I've ever seen, and perfect for all those at-home workouts you've probably been doing (or attempting to do). Megan Roup would approve.

4. Printed Pajama Top

I don't know you, but I know you need this green zebra print PJ top from Zara. Like c'mon, IT'S PERFECT! You'll look so chic over Zoom calls that no one will even know you're wearing pajamas. Get the matching bottoms here, too.

5. Onzie High Rise Bike Shorts

These biker shorts from Shopbop are so dope. And on sale ($27). Biker shorts are an essential stay-at-home staple. Get them before they sell out.

6. Stripe Pull-On Shorts

These little drawstring shorts from Gap are adorable and everything they make is usually the comfiest thing in my closet. They're having 40% off everything so go snatch 'em up before they sell out.

7. Grey Tie Ribbed Marl Flare Trousers

Not to be dramatic but you need these pants in your life. I have them in the darker grey color (they still have a few sizes left in this color) and I have never lived in a pair of pants more in my life, nor have I received so many compliments on sweats before. Get them on sale now at Topshop. These are ESSENTIAL.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Dealing with the inevitable realities of college life.

college students waiting in a long line in the hallway

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
