Hoodie Allen: A.K.A Steve Adam Markowitz. Born on August 19, 1988 in Long Island New York. A former student of the University of Pennsylvania, employee of Google, and frat boy. Currently a writer, rapper, friend of Ed Sheeran, and one of my favorite artist. He quite possibly is one of the most underrated artist (in my opinion) and the Reference King. Here are a few examples:
1. "Wolf on these beats, no Posey." - Against Me ft. MAX
A reference to "Teen Wolf" and the actor that plays the main character ,Tyler Posey, for all the Teen Wolf fans.
2. "Now the way we blowing up, it's like a Michael Bay movie." - Movie
A reference to all the random explosions in movies directed my Michael Bay for all the "Bad Boys" and "Transformers" fans.
3. "Only move in one direction, no Harry, no Niall." - Reunion
A reference to Harry Styles and Niall Horan from One Direction for all the Directioners.
4. "I hate Spider-Man too, James Franco." - James Franco
5. "And if I ask you if you like my new shit, Lie To Me, Word to Tim Roth." -Act My Age
Reference to "Lie To Me's" main character, Tim Roth for all the Lie To Me fans.
6. "She tell her dad I'm a doctor, I think that she Clueless." - Movie
A reference to the movie "Clueless" for all the 90's kids.
7. "I went from being Home Alone and now I'm Richie, Richie." - Movie
A reference to the movies "Home Alone" and "Richie Rich" for the kids inside of all of us. Also because two references in one verse is pretty genius.
8. "I said I'm a keep on ripping and shouts to Jesse Katsopolis, A Full House in it." - Where Do We Go Now
A reference to Uncle Jesse on "Full House," once again for all the 90's kids.
9. "A moment flicked by, I wish I was McFly, Marty with the sick ride." - January Jones
10. "Your girl is cashing it, Kourtney Kardashian." - Eighteen Cool
A reference to Kourtney Kardashian for all the "Keeping Up with the Kardashian" fans.
