He is risen! Easter is a huge holiday in a Christian household. The person responsible for the creation of earth and man has once again risen from the dead. Through His resurrection, we see how powerful, loving and forgiving God is. I chose a handful of verses that I feel go hand in hand with the holiday. Have a happy and blessed Easter everyone! xo

1. John 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

2. Acts 4:33

"With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all"

3. Luke 24: 5-7

"[5] In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, 'Why do you look for the living among the dead? [6] He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: [7] ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’"

4. Romans 10:9

"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

5. Colossians 1:13-14

"[13] For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, [14] in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

6. Romans 6:8-11

"[8] Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. [9] For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. [10] The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. [11] In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus."

7. 1 Thessalonians 4:14

"For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."
