Like normal, I feel like I've been stressing out and depressed a lot. One way that helps me just kind of chill out (besides eating sandwiches) is binge-watching mockumentaries of yesteryear, specifically "Parks and Recreation" and "The Office." In my depressed and stressed-filled mind, I've started to go what I consider off the deep end of distractions when it comes to the two shows.
I've started to ship the characters of the two shows.
Don't ask me how I got here; I couldn't tell you. I also can't tell you exactly why some of them go together... something just seems right though.
And I'm sorry in advance if I've split up some of the show favorites... it had to be done.
1. Leslie Knope and Michael Scott.
This is probably the most obvious match up. Both are energetic, love what they do for work, and love the people they work with (Leslie most likely wouldn't like Toby either).
2. Erin Hannon and Andy Dwyer.
They don't need anything too fancy. If you know these two characters at all, then you know they would be exceedingly happy with each other by simply having the chance to be together.
3. Angela Martin and Ron Swanson.
The stoic nature of both is what first drew me to shipping them. From there, it was just going along and finding more connections. We've seen Angela be spontaneously romantic with Dwight, and then with Ron and Tammy II. It's only a matter of time before they'd be hitting it off with each other.
4. Phyllis (Lapin) Vance and Tom Haverford.
Both are wild. Both are beautiful. Both can be a bit awkward. There isn't anything these two wouldn't be able to conquer and the party would surely start when this duo walks in the room.
5. Ann Perkins and Dwight Schrute.
This one is kind of straightforward. Ann isn't one who would back away from a challenge and Dwight is, well, a challenge. Plus we all know Ann loves a good-looking man and I don't think anyone can come near what Dwight has to offer in that department.
6. April Ludgate and Jim Halpert.
April and Jim are each one of my favorite people in their respected shows. I think April's sass and sarcasm would play off Jim's prankful side to make something unique and amazing.
7. Pam (Beesly) Halpert and Ben Wyatt.
While some couples have complimentary personalities in the sense of opposites making a whole, these two are similoear enough to each other (in a good way) that I think they'd be supppppper cute together! Thoughtful, shy, a bit of spunk. It's a match for sure.
