College is low-key one of the weirdest parts of life, mostly because we, as college students, have the ability to do things that we normally wouldn't. Without the constraints of our parents, a solid schedule, or just general judgement from others, we sometimes do things on a daily basis that are just plain weird. Next time you do one of these things, remember how odd it would be if you did it at home during high school.
1. Eating full meals at literally any time of the day.
Steak and eggs at 11 p.m.? Cereal at 6 p.m.? Chicken fingers and fries at 2 a.m.? Cereal again at 10 a.m.? And the cycle continues.
2. Posting snapchat stories with the library geotag.
Why are we so obsessed with doing this? Is anyone actually studying, or do we just venture to the library for the snapchat world to think we are? The world may never know.
3. Setting an alarm for 2:43 for your 3 o'clock class when you got back to your room at 2:30.
Those 13 minutes of sleep are vital to life.
4. Waking up at the crack of dawn for a tailgate only to skip the game to take a nap.
Unless you go to a huge football school, most people just rally for the tailgate and have little to no interest in the athletics. Drunk eating and sleeping for the rest of your Saturday is a much better idea.
5. Bringing your entire wardrobe to school, but only wearing your friends' clothes.
What are across-the-hall neighbors for? The likelihood that you wear all of your clothes, and that you leave school with all of the clothes you brought, is insanely small.
6. Dressing for summer to go out regardless of how cold it is.
Thirty degrees outside, but you wanna go to the bar? Shorts and a crop top it is! Your body will not thank you later.
7. Waiting until at least 11 to go out.
This may explain why naps are so important: college students cannot fathom leaving for a night out at an early time. Arriving at the party before midnight is essentially social suicide at many schools.
