7 Black Friday Tech Deals No College Student Should Miss Out On

In This Article:

There are two types of people during the month of November: those who go absolutely crazy for Black Friday and those who find absolutely any excuse to stay home. If you're anything like me and camp outside waiting for the stores to open, you know it's necessary to scout out the best deals and do your research before heading out. It's all about strategy!

This is the best time to get some amazing products on sale that can make life easier, especially for us college students. From Best Buy to Target to Amazon and more, there are so many sales that even the best shoppers can accidentally overlook. Don't worry though, I looked everywhere for you so you don't miss out.

Whether you're an early morning Black Friday go-getter or a laid-back Cyber Monday shopper, here are seven of the best deals waiting for college students this weekend.

MacBook Air.

If you're in need of a new laptop, one of the doorbuster deals at Best Buy is $200 off select Apple computers. There are a bunch of different models on sale, including the 13.3" MacBook Air for $899.00. Select purchases include three months of free Apple Music if you are a new subscriber. Shop it here!

Apple Watch Series 4.

Okay, this is arguably my favorite piece of technology. It has so many different capabilities and functions that it's worth buying at the regular price. However, Best Buy has them for a reduced price of $299.00. Like the Apple computers, you can snag three months of free Apple Music with your purchase. You can check out all its features here!

Apple AirPods with charging case.

You're probably thinking, "another Apple product?" I know, but Apple pretty much owns Black Friday shopping. They have deals everywhere and college kids are always looking for new tech -including AirPods. The original model is marked down to $139.00 at Walmart, which is hard to beat. Break up with your wire headphones and check out all of the AirPod deals here.

Keurig K-Mini Single-Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Maker.

Time to upgrade! The mini-version of the regular Keurig coffee maker is perfect for any dorm room or apartment, doesn't waste any coffee, and doesn't take up a lot of space. Even better, it's only $50 at Target, who starts their Black Friday deals at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. You can scope out this model and other Keurig coffee makers here.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K.

To up your streaming game, definitely check out the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K. It has a bunch of features (including Alexa!) that make it easy to search your favorite streaming services and is a steal of a deal for only $25 on Amazon. Your roommates will thank you for this one.

Nintendo Switch.

This gaming system was probably one of the hottest of 2019. At Target, you can purchase the system, dock, and Joy-Con controllers for $299.00. As a bonus, the deal comes with Mario Kart 8. Other stores are offering deals that include other games, but if you have yet to master Rainbow Road like me, you'll want this specific bundle. Check it out here!

23andMe Heath + Ancestry Kit.

Regardless of all the conspiracy theories out there (thanks, Shane Dawson), ancestry kits are super cool and a great gift to yourself. On Black Friday, you can get the 23andMe Health + Ancestry kit to learn about your heritage and your health for half of the price. Find the kit that best suits your interests here.

These tech deals will definitely help next semester run smoothly and stress-free, or maybe they'll just add a little fun into the upcoming year. Regardless, you'll want to treat yo' self this Black Friday.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
