I love Netflix ... I love the ability to binge-watch shows with no commercials and no interruption. I love how I don't have to wait until the next week to see what happens in a show. Netflix has been an easy option since coming to college. With a busy schedule, it is hard to watch shows live or to keep up with them. I have gained a new appreciation for Netflix, because now I can watch shows off of my laptop, phone, etc. and when I have the time. It's been a great way to relax for an hour or to decompress. Below are some of my favorite shows that I also feel aren't getting enough recognition:
1. "The Arrangement"
This is not on Netflix ... or at least it isn't yet, It is currently on E!, and has been my favorite show to binge-watch. The main character is in Hollywood who strikes interest in an up-and-coming actress, new to fame and Hollywood. After an offer for an arranged marriage, this actress is thrown into the crazy Hollywood world, but little does she know there is a company overseeing every single move she makes.
2. "Ozark"
A financial planner gets involved with a bad drug cartel company, that forces him to launder money. Headed to the Ozarks with his family, this financial planner must figure out a way to launder money in the area without facing larger consequences of getting caught, and also impressing a very scary Mexican drug lord. You can find this on Netflix.
3. "How To Get Away With Murder"
This is on Netflix, but also just finished a season on television. This is one of my favorite shows on TV currently, and I highly recommend this to anybody who needs a good binge-watch. A defense attorney finds herself mentoring young law students from the school at which she teaches at. The students quickly realize they got more than they bargained for as they are quickly wrapped into a murder scene themselves and swept into the life of their defense attorney and her secrets.
4. "Girlfriend's Guide to Divorce"
For any girl that wants a show with both romance and comedy, this is for you. Not only does this show provide both laughter and enertainment for me, but the storyline is solid. The show is about the life of a writer who writes about love and relationships, yet recently divorced her own husband. She struggles to keep track of her kids and her very demanding industry. This is on Netflix too.
5. "Revenge"
This is a show about a girl determined to really figure out what happened to her father when he died as she was little. Faking a marriage and befriending a powerful, wealthy family ... how far is this girl willing to go for revenge, and also what lengths to figure out what truly happened?
6. "Prison Break"
A very intelligent man's brother was wrongly accused and sent to prison. In hopes to set his brother free, the man goes to prison so that him and his brother can break out. With an intricate and strategic plan, will they be able to escape? Find it on Netflix.
Here's a few options of shows when you get bored or want to destress. They aren't your typical shows such as "Friends", "The Office", or "Gossip Girl", but I can promise you that at least one of these shows will spark your interest.
