Feeling the Bern? You'll appreciate this.

7 Bernie Memes That We All Relate To

As a new voter, I was excited about the upcoming presidential election for many reasons. First, this was the first time I would be voting at all, especially in a presidential race. Next, we have a woman, a Jew, the Zodiac Killer, and "racist piece of corn," or Hillary, Bernie, Ted Cruz, and Trump respectively, running, so whatever happens, it will go down in history, good or bad. I started feeling the Bern after hearing about Sanders from many friends and family. But, with the Bern comes the great responsibility of the memes. Here are seven memes that Bernie supporters can inevitably relate to.

1. The "Casual Fan" Meme.

This is exactly how the Bern starts. You take a meager liking to it, and before you know it, it is permeating your every blood cell. People can smell it on you - I always know when I walk by a fellow Bernie supporter. I can't explain it, but it happens all the time.

2. The "Where Are They Going?" Guy.

This guy sums up the way we are all feeling about Bernie's recent losses. It's real, too! 75% of people I interact with feel the Bern, but the ballots sure aren't! Either my friends aren't voting or something's fishy.

3. The "I'm With Her" Crowd.

I absolutely HATE it when people ask me, "Oh, why aren't you voting for Clinton? She's the best candidate for women!" Like, no. Bernie is the best candidate for me because he stands for what I believe is right, not just because we share common plumbing. As another great meme once stated, "Voting for Clinton just because she is a woman is like drinking antifreeze just because it looks like Gatorade."

4. The "Disaster Movie" Meme.

In the end, he's the guy who lives, and saves the main character from a horribly violent death by dinosaur, or whatever. People should be listening to him now, before the disaster (AKA Donald Trump) hits.

5. The "Toughness" Level.

Because Bernie is tough on the issues all the time. Hillary is tough some of the time. She isn't tough at the right times, so she's resorted to campaigning on Double Weenie Wednesday.

6. The Pancake Metaphor.

This one is pretty self-explanatory. Her stance changes based on her audience, and, more frequently, on what her opponent says! Ten years ago she says she disagrees with gay marriage, but ten minutes ago, she's accepting an endorsement from Human Rights Campaign. Bernie has a consistent record, and that's what I like.

7. The "Meeting a New Bernie Fan" Meme.

When you hear someone mention how dank Bernie Sanders is, it's like you have an instant connection. You could be friends forever. You just mesh. They could be a cat person when you're a dog person, but none of that matters any more. They could be the Zodiac Killer (but probably aren't, because Bernie supporters are cooler than that. It's the Cruz guys you gotta watch out for). Who cares? They share a special love for Bernie and nothing can tear you apart.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
