Hello, fellow book lovers. Now, we know every story is a bit of a roller coaster, both on the pages and in the minds of readers. So here are a few thoughts that cross my mind when I read sometimes. They are random and sporadic but I speak from experience and some are oh so painfully awkward and true. But, as a book lover, I say, embrace all those feels the book gives you and roll with it. Here we go!
1. Hell yeah, new book time.
2. Who cares if I broke my book buying ban....again.
3. This has been on my list forever, I'm so excited.
4. It was just so pretty.
5. And sounded so interesting.
6. Okay focus--ooh there's a prologue, fancy.
7. Why do so many books not start on page one?
8. I wonder if I can finish this in a day.
9. More than 400 pages?!
10. Challenge accepted.
11. Alright new book, new lands and adventures.
12. World building is already on point .
13. I already want to live there.
14. What kind of character would I be in this world?
15. Real talk, I'd probably die hella fast.
16. Eh, I can dream.
17. Okay wait, this one character is awesome and wonderful and badass and a total hero. I love them.
18. Lawl, that means they're not making it out of the book, let alone the series.
19. If this other character was real I would marry them.
20. Why is this one guy such a douche-canoe?
21. Wait is he showing vulnerability? Humanity?
22. Behold my trash son. I love him, he is perfect - he better live, but getting my hopes up is dangerous.
23. I'm going to do it anyway, but still.
24, Hey look at all the pages on the left hand side, I'm making good progress.
25. I wonder if there's a sequel?
26. Wait I shouldn't look this up, what about spoilers? I'm not even done yet.
27. F**k it, I'm doing it anyway.
28. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S A YEAR AND A FREAKING HALF UNTIL THE NEXT ONE???
29. Close the window, close the window, don't look at the synopsis.
30. Okay, back to the actual book.
31. Why are they being mean to each other? What's the point?
32. You have a common enemy, you fools.
33. Whoops, now you're in danger.
34. Should've listened to each other.
35. Oh crap, impromptu action sequence.
36. Here we goooooo.
37. Oh crap, oh crap the really cool villain sidekick appears.
38. Please, Dear God, let them join the good guys.
39. Everyone's backstory is killing me.
40. Time for the BIG BAD to take things by storm.
41. The good guys won't lose....right?????
42. Oh god, get out of there hero, don't take on the big bad.
43. Don't die, don't you dare, who the hell do you think you are, DO NOT DO IT.
44. OH MY GOD WHY.
45. My heart can't handle this, I can literally feel my heart beating out of time, I can literally feel the shards rattling around inside of me.
46. How dare all of you.
47. But still, thank you to these authors and characters for helping me to feel not alone.
48. Yet another reason I love to read and write.
49. Wait where did the sun go?
50 Nevermind I did it, book in a day.
51. It cost me my heart and the ownership of my soul but hey, who needs those?
52. Was it worth it?
53. YES. Yes, this answer is a hell yeah.
54. This book killed me, but also inspired me.
55. I guess that's really what good writing is.
56. I need more.
57. I'm gonna be thinking about this for weeks.
58. I think I have a problem.
59. ....Nah I'm good...I hope.
60. But, BOOKS MAN.
61. Places to lose and find yourself.
63. Time to tell everyone I know about this book and look up online reviews.
64. Putting this book back on my shelf almost feels ceremonial.
65. Well, thank you beloved world and characters, for a hell of a story.
